Boards do not need more data, they need a recommendation

Another dashboard defers the moment somebody has to say which option they would defend. More data narrows nothing on its own; it widens the number of readings available.

What a board is actually asking for is a named person saying: this one, for these reasons, and here is what would have to be true for me to be wrong.
